Attention Homeschool Families!

Bayshore Christian School is pleased to offer classes for the 2010-2011 academic year that will allow homeschool families to enroll in certain classes at Bayshore Christian School during the school year.

Latin Grades 3-7 Latina Christiana and other resources from Memoria Press

Music    Grades K-7      Classical Kids

PE Grades K-7  Rules of sports, principles of exercise, volleyball, soccer, others.

Art Grades K-7   Meet the Masters Classical Artists Series.

Logic 7th Grade The Art of Argument from Classical Academic Press

How much will it cost?

Annual Cost: Registration and Activities Fees payable up front. Tuition costs may be spread over six months with 6 equal payments beginning August 1^st.

Registration Fee  $200 (Non-refundable per student)

Activity Fee   $100 (Non-refundable, per student) covers supplies, books, and equipment

Per Class Fee  $1000 For classes meeting 3 times per week or more (Latin and Logic).

                    $700 For classes meeting 2 times per week (PE)

                    $400 For classes meeting 1 time per week (Music/Art)

What do I need to do to enroll?

Fill out the enrollment form below and return it to the BCS office. You will be given a parent handbook which you should carefully read as all homeschool families must agree to abide by the same policies and procedures as those enrolled full time.

Will my child receive credit and grades for courses taken?

Yes. A letter from the school stating the total contact/instructional hours for each class will be provided on completion of the class and payment of all fees. Formal grade reports will be given quarterly. Parents are also invited to register for the two regular parent-teacher conferences in the fall and spring, though this is not required.     

Will I need to buy school uniforms?

Yes. All students are required to wear the standard school uniform and abide by all applicable school policies while on campus. Uniform must be purchased at Zoghby’s Uniforms in Daphne, or at the used uniform sales held at Bayshore periodically throughout the year. PE attire is navy shorts and grey t-shirt. These may be purchased at Zoghby’s.

How long are classes?

Classes typically meet for 45-50 minutes. Logic and Latin are 30 minutes per day four days a week. Students should arrive 5 minutes before the scheduled start time and must be picked up as soon as the class is over. We do not have the ability to supervise children who have not been picked up on time.  

The class schedules will be available in August.
