What is SCRIP?
Scrip is program administered by the school that enable you to purchase Scrip cards, or gift cards for use in hundreds of local and on-line retailers. Each card is a specific denomination, and for a specific retailer. The cards are used just like a credit card, and never expire.
What does Bayshore get?
Each of the retailer cards are discounted to Bayshore. Most are in the 5% range, but it varies by retailer from 2% to 25%. When you place your order, you make out your check to Bayshore. The orders are electronically placed and Bayshore Christian School makes the difference between the face value of the card and our discounted price.
What retailers are involved?
Click on this link, and you will see a list of the retailers. This list changes weekly, as more retailers are added.
Any other advantages?
Yes, two big ones! First, SCRIP allows you to budget better for your different categories of expenses. Food, gasoline, gifts, all can be purchased using SCRIP. When you buy a $100 BP card with SCRIP, you know how much you have spent on gasoline, without putting it on a credit or debit card. Do you have teenagers that need a gas card? This is a perfect opportunity to give them peace of mind without giving them a “real” credit card or cash.
What else? SCRIP cards are great ideas for birthday, graduation and Christmas gifts. If you don’t want to spend hours looking for the “perfect” gift, or fight the holiday crowds, let SCRIP be the perfect gift!
OK! How do I sign up.
CLICK HERE, and follow the directions. Remember, Bayshore Christian School purchases SCRIP on Fridays at noon, and has the cards available for pickup the following Tuesday at 3 pm. Please make your checks payable to Bayshore Christian School SCRIP and have them turned in by Friday.
